Artist village, Sobha Singh gallery
Andretta is a small artist village in Kangra district built around one of Himachal's more significant cultural sites: the Sobha Singh Art Gallery, home to work by one of India's noted 20th-century painters. At 900m, it's low-altitude and accessible year-round, though October–March brings the most comfortable weather. The village also has a tradition of pottery-making, with small studios still active. Unlike Kangra's more visited temple towns, Andretta draws almost no tourist traffic despite its genuine cultural significance — it's a stop for travelers interested in Himachal's art history specifically, not a general sightseeing destination.
