Dainkund Peak is the highest point accessible from Dalhousie at 2,755m, locally nicknamed the Singing Hill for the sound wind makes moving through the surrounding forest. On a clear day, views extend across both Chamba and Kangra districts simultaneously — a genuinely wide panorama for a relatively accessible peak. Best time is March–June or September–November. It requires a short trek from the road-end rather than a drive to the summit, which keeps it quieter than Dalhousie's more accessible viewpoints.
