Lush meadows, Shikari Devi base
Janjheli is a lush, largely undiscovered hill station at 2,150m in Mandi district — green meadows and forest with almost no tourist traffic outside weekends. Best time is March–June or September–November. It functions as a practical base for the trek up to nearby Shikari Devi temple, but it's worth a stay in its own right for travelers who want Himachal's classic meadow-and-forest scenery without Kufri or Narkanda's crowds. Infrastructure is basic — homestays rather than hotels — which suits the low-key nature of the place.
