Kothi sits on the Rohtang road at 2,500m, a small village offering Beas river views and visible glacier scenery without the crowds that build up further along the route toward Rohtang Pass itself. Best time is April–October, wider than many high-altitude stops since it sits below the pass's own snow-closure elevation. It functions well as a quieter rest stop for travelers navigating the busy Manali–Rohtang corridor, offering comparable scenery to more congested points along the same road.
