Best Time to Visit
Jun–Sep
District
Lahaul & Spiti

Pin Valley is a national park sitting deep in Spiti's cold desert at 3,650m, home to snow leopards, ibex, and Himalayan wolves — genuine high-altitude wildlife territory rather than a manicured park. It's also the starting point for the demanding Pin-Parvati Pass trek, which connects Spiti to Kullu district on foot. Best time is June–September. Wildlife sightings, especially snow leopards, are rare and require luck and patience rather than being guaranteed, but the valley's stark beauty and genuine wilderness feel are worth the visit even without one. This is a destination for serious nature and trekking travelers rather than a casual stop.
