At 1,519m, it's best visited October–May, when Shimla itself gets overrun with domestic tourists — Shoghi offers the same regional views and cooler climate with a fraction of the footfall. There's no major sight to check off here; the value is a quiet stay with decent food options, functioning as either a calmer base for exploring Shimla or a standalone stop for travelers who'd rather skip Shimla's town center altogether.
